On Friday we hiked to Maroon bells which is between Aspen and Snowmass. We got up early to beat the crowds and make it to Crater lake. However, we stopped for a photo and got on the wrong trail so ended up making a 2 hour hike into about 3.5 hours and almost getting lost! We were about ready to give up when we finally found the lake - whew! We hiked up 3K ft to get to Crater lake - exhausted, but worth it!
