Nathan shooting bow

The next best thing to shooting live! Nathan is target practicing at a
virtual target range in Brainerd. He did awesome, scoring lots of direct hits - his final score was 161. I can't wait to bring my bow up and try it!

Bar - Day 2

More framing....

Tubing with Shay's and Starr's

On Saturday, we spent the day skating with the Shay's and met the Starr's at Primetime for tubing and dinner. The girls (Natalie, Emma, and Julia) all left for a sleepover at the Star's Cabin. We picked Julia up in Brainerd on Sunday morning.

Bonus Room Bar Project

Over Christmas break this year, it was decided that we would build a bar in the cabin bonus room. We had been discussing the location and style for the last couple years, and finally, with the CT and FL Hewitt's together at last, the decision was made. Construction was to start immediately - Chad had a full week to work on it over the New Year Holiday. After Eric and Jennie and family left for Rochester, and Skip and Linda left on Saturday, Nathan and Chad went to Menard's to buy the lumber and "dorm fridge". They had a wonderful trip home in the van with the "door ajar" alarm beeping the whole way.

Nathan's been a huge help in the construction - he's using the radial arm saw, power nailer, jig saw and various other tools. No injuries so far!
