Boulder, last day of CO vacation….

Whew, hot in Boulder, 107 degrees!!     We toured UC at Boulder for Nathan -- the Engineering campus (I told him I liked Madison is better, plus the story that dad wouldn't let me go here so I probably wouldn't let him either!)

We saw the "Mork and Mindy" house and the Fort Collins fire (50 miles away).   Had a scenic drive up to Flagstaff mountain, and wrapped up with a stroll down Pearl street, and dinner on the sidewalk....   Now the fun is done!

Travel from Snowmass to Boulder

Long day of travel today, but had some great sights along the way, including Leadville, and a visit to the "Leadville Trail" start, and a visit with someone that knew Micah True a.k.a. Caballo Blanco star of McDougall's Born to Run.   Nathan was inspired to begin training for the "Leadville 100", 100 miles at 10K ft high, yeah, right!!   Also, came across a fire just outside of town - hopefully it won't spread!

Some random pictures from our time in Snowmass...the kids in a cabana by the pool, our Maroon Bells hike, lunch at Aspen Mt, Chad with a price tag, and then hanging out by the pool again in another cabana.

Stealth Mission!

Nathan and I figured out how to get into the garage where all the Lamborghini's where stored overnight, snuck in, and had a view of them all!   We saw several workers and acted as if  we "belonged there".   All was good until a manager saw us and chased us down and gave us a verbal scolding....  Thanks to some MN nice talk, we can laugh about it now, and no jail time!

Aspen

We spent the afternoon at the top of Aspen mountain, and had lunch, and played some Frisbee golf which was great fun.   Julia spotted a bear on the way up, which was really cool to see!
