Nathan and I did more target practicing today. He's really getting
good! He shot about 80 times - only three weeks ago he could only get
about 20 shots off before tiring. And look at the pattern! I'm
having fun too. I bought a new set of carbon arrows which helped a
lot. An old timer at the range today identfied my bow as being about
30 years old. Said it was a classic! Where did we get it, dad?

Hot sauna on a cold day!

Boat show.

Today we went to the boat show! We hadn't planned on it, but after going to Julia's basketball game and dropping her off at her "mystery bus tour", we decided we couldn't miss the show. Lot's of salesmen, and not a lot of people this year. I think the economy has been tough for these guys. We looked at jet ski's, pontoons, and Bev and I imagined retirement in a house boat! Nathan wanted a kite ski thing -- check out this web site:

http://wakekite.com/

In the end, didn't buy a thing! Oh well, we'll have to wait for summer!

Sleep over

The boys are playing Texas hold'm. Nathan had a sleep over tonight with JR and Matt - they watched a James Bond movie and took a suana and rolled around in the snow with their bathing suits.

Paintball!

Nathan and I found a new awsome paintball field by the high school.
Nathan shot me twice with his new gun. He definitely has the upper
hand now!! I may need to upgrade my equipment to save myself from the
little terrorist.

Going home!

Going home after two weeks at the cabin. Amazingly, no one wanted to
leave (including Lola!).

We got a late start leaving and I'm bummed because I'll miss the
begininh if the Vikings game!

Once again the car is packed to the gills which is why I don't have a
picture of the kids - I can't find them. Hoping they are back there
somewhere.

After the clean-up.

Now the hard stuff

The clean up begins..... We started with a big fire to burn all the
scrap wood. It turned out to be a beautiful night - nice and warm and
a gentle snow fall.

It's done!

at least for this trip!

Julia's putting the finishing sand on the edges....

Julia trying to finish her 663 page, 81 chapter book.... today!
